The 37.56 acre land for which compensation was taken from Petro Chemicals Limited by manipulating the papers in Vaisundhara Gram Panchayat is currently worth Rs. 150 crores. In this fraud that took place in 1987-88, land lease was given to some people who were not even residents of this village. Among these four people are not from Vaisundhara Gram Panchayat but are residents of village Mudaina Ramdatt of Phaphund police station area, 14 km away.

A lease case of Vaishundhra Gram Panchayat was being heard in the ADM Judicial Court. On finding irregularities in the records, the Sadar SDM was directed to investigate the other leases done in the Gram Panchayat. When the investigation was done, within two months one after another layers of fraud got exposed. While in the year 1987-88, fake reports were found recorded in Joth Chakbandi Aakar Patra 45. In the year 1993, on the report of the SDM, orders were given to transfer the land. Along with this, the order to register the land of nine people in Pata Petro Chemicals was also recorded on paper.

Phoolan Devi, Rajiv Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Ram Prakash, Meera Devi, Than Singh, Ramswaroop, Omprakash, Bengali Singh got the allotted land acquired by Pata Petro Chemicals. They also took compensation for it. According to the investigation report, the four people who got the fake lease are not residents of Vaisundhara but are residents of Mudaina Ramdatt village. In this, Rajiv Kumar was allotted two acres, Sushil Kumar two acres, Meera Devi two acres, Om Prakash two and a half acres of land.

No culprit will be spared

‘As per the departmental procedure, notices are being issued to 25 people in the first phase, after which the action will begin. The officers and employees of that time are also under the purview of investigation.
